Guru Gurumurthy

Guru is a senior analyst with the Business Renewables Centre-Canada (BRC-Canada), an initiative of the Pembina Institute. Based in Toronto, he develops strategies for achieving a net-zero electricity grid, with a current focus on data centre research and Ontario electricity market analysis. Since joining Pembina in May 2024, he has contributed to the Institute's electricity work, including the Powering ON report and submissions to Ontario electricity consultations.

Guru brings more than eight years of experience in renewable energy and climate policy. Before joining BRC-Canada, he worked with the Ecology Action Centre on phasing out coal in Nova Scotia, and with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in India on renewable energy development and international climate policy. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering.
